FAQ
-
What is a Patient Assistance Program (PAP)?
Patient Assistance Programs are offered by pharmaceutical companies to provide free or low-cost medications to eligible individuals who are uninsured, underinsured, or facing financial hardship. Each program has its own eligibility requirements and application process.
-
How can Pharmacy5 help me with PAP applications?
We simplify and streamline the entire application process for you. From checking your eligibility to gathering documentation and submitting paperwork, we guide you step-by-step so you can access your medications faster — with less hassle and fewer delays.
-
Am I eligible for help through a Patient Assistance Program?
Eligibility varies by program and medication, but common factors include income level, insurance status, U.S. residency, and prescription history. We’ll help evaluate your situation and identify which programs you may qualify for.
-
What documents do I need to apply?
Most programs require proof of income (such as tax returns or pay stubs), proof of residency, a valid prescription, and sometimes a doctor’s signature or medical records. We’ll provide a customized checklist based on your medication and situation.
-
Do you charge for your services?
We offer affordable assistance to help you navigate the complex paperwork. While many PAPs themselves are free, our small service fee covers the time and expertise.
-
Do I have to give power of attorney to apply to a PAP?
No! You can apply without Pharmacy5 or any other company. If you’ve been referred to ImpactRx, PaydHealth, SHARx , RxFree4Me, Script Sourcing, Matrix Payer Group, Horton Group, SaveOnSP, or PrudentRx by your employer, you are dealing with an alternative funding program(AFP) and may be ineligible for PAPs.
